The section of Oak Orchard Creek between the area known as “The Bridges” and Lake Ontario provides excellent fishing for a variety of warm- and cold-water species. Except for the shore access provided by the piers at the mouth of the stream, this slow-moving water stretch is best fished from a small boat or canoe. This is due to the fact that access can be gained only through private land, and because steep gorge walls limit the angler's ability to reach the water in most of this section
