Mill Creek is a little known, very underutilized trout stream in the northwest corner of Steuben County and southern Livingston County. This relative anonymity is ironic, for Mill Creek is unquestionably one of the finest wild trout streams in the region, if not the state. Given its size, there are few streams more productive than Mill. During a DEC survey, an electro-shocking of a 500-foot section of the stream produced an incredible 300 trout. Not bad for a stream that averages only 10 to 15 feet in width.
