The shale cliffs of Eighteen Mile Creek in Erie County provide a beautiful setting for some of the best steelhead fishing in western New York. This stream is stocked annually with 20,000 steelhead, and good numbers of steelhead are in the stream from late fall through spring. In the summer, smallmouth bass can be taken in good numbers in Eighteen Mile Creek at least as far up as the hamlet of Creekside.
