Sodus Bay offers anglers some of the best fishing on all of Lake Ontario. Combining excellent year-round fishing for warm-water species with massive seasonal influxes of trout and salmon, the bay is one of the most versatile and productive bodies of water in New York State. Sodus Bay also offers anglers a safe haven to fish when inclement weather makes Lake Ontario too rough for boating. Because of its size and central location, the bay serves as major port for charter boats that ply Lake Ontario.
