Wiscoy Creek is one of the top trout streams in New York State. Incredible numbers of wild brown trout make this one of the most rewarding streams you're ever likely to encounter. Flowing through picturesque meadows and woodlots of southern Wyoming County, the Wiscoy offers anglers the opportunity to test their fly-fishing skills in a rustic, uncrowded setting. Nursed by cold springs, the water temperature in this stream rarely exceeds 70 degrees, enabling the Wiscoy to provide good trout fishing all season long. The stream is managed almost exclusively as a wild trout fishery; the only stretch that is stocked is a 1-mile section in Allegany County.
